"Well the closest I got to the curb was a sidewalk. My husband and I were on
the way to the Funeral Home and we spotted a wooden porch swing on the side
walk close to the Funeral Home. I was so excited as our swing had broken only
   days before and I knew a new one had a cost between $75.00 - $100.00. I sent
my husband to the door of the house it was in front of to see if it had a cost
or was a freebie. He came back to the car and told me the man was asking
$20.00 for it. Needless to say we went to the funeral home with the old
wooden swing hanging out the back of the car. It is still on my porch (10
years later) and my granddaughter has to swing no matter what the weather. So
it wasn't a curb freebie but we have gotten more than $20.00 worth of swinging
out of it and it's still goin strong. Dianne S."

"I enjoy reading your newsletter and the stories about finding things on the
curb reminded me of this story. One day we put a reclining chair out on the
curb, in hopes that someone would take it home. A short time later, two young
boys stopped and looked the chair over. Then they lifted the chair and placed
it on their skate boards and rolled it down the street. What a creative way
to move their curb find. It certainly provided us with a chuckle. Lorrie R."
