For next week's issue, One of our readers wrote to us with a few "topic"   
   suggestions.  Here is one of his suggestions: "What is a strange or odd thing   
   that you collect?" We'd love to know about it. Is it strange to everyone who   
   sees it?  Do you display it proudly? Why do you collect it?  Tell us about

   In response to last week's question which asked about an item invoking   
   powerful memories, we received the following responses:   
      
   "Hi Phil, My grandfather passed away when I was 14 years old (40 years ago) He   
   was the most wonderful man, always joking with us, teasing us, and teaching me   
   things about his garden.  He always wore plaid shirts.  In the winter they   
   were flannel and in the summer they were cotton.  Tucked away in a drawer in   
   my bedroom are two of those shirts.  I am actually tearing up as I write this   
   because those shirts make me feel as though he is still here.  I loved him   
   so!  Maureen S."   
      
   "In response to items that invoke powerful memories I have a ceramic bowl that   
   was my grandfather's.  He lived with us for a very long time before he passed   
   away and we all knew that that ceramic bowl was his, whether it was for ice   
   cream or soup.  I keep that bowl on a shelf in my kitchen and whenever I look   
   at it, it makes me smile just thinking about him.  Jen M."
