One of our readers needs help with info about her cast iron salt and pepper
   shakers. Anyone able to help?

"I have been collecting the cast iron salt and pepper sets for years and
cannot find out anything about when and where they were made and by what
company. They are always in the shapes of old sad irons, wood stoves, lamps,
etc. and have the large cork stoppers. They look to be hand painted and
usually the salt is white and the pepper is black. Maybe your readers can
shed some light on these for me. Thank you, Ann B"
