EyeTech doesn't want to for various reasons. The claim --        -> DS> short supply of PPC cpu's -- doesn't holdup anymore.        ->        -> so no new amiga hardware for OS4 ?              Hi Benny!                     Nope :/ Troika's project -- Ami'05 --fizzled. And the ACK endevore --        PowerVixxen -- was put on hold. So, why attempts to get hardware for Amiga        OS4 platform failing? Good evil mystery, IMO! :/              ->        -> well the reason OS4 cant be made on a mac mini is that apple have        copyrigth on       -> the hardware, but why not try the otherway around with mac OS X and        then run       -> UAE ? :-)              Ask Hyperion and get the same identical answer. I guess....       ->        ....       ->        -> BS> Arrrgghhh! And then there is the PegasosII, that asks too. Hyperion        really       ->        -> DS> hates the topic of OS4 in X86. So, with no A1 being built, how does        Amiga        -> DS> continue to live?        ->        -> how can the spirit die ?       ->        -> BP>> ... there can only be one way of life, and it works :)       -> DS> AmigaOne is one way, and it works here! :)       ->        -> :-)       ->        -> let me see some fidonet runs from A1 :-)              The A1 is currently not online. Since moving, I haven't worked out the new        ISP problems...       ->        -> DS> + Origin: Eastpointe BBS (1:120/228)              I was just telling David Veatch, our wonderful REMOTE SYSOP, that I'm        nearby a computer center lab that has WindowsXP on Dells to do work. I use        a 256MB USB drive -- SanDisk to keep the AmigaOne tuned into the world. I        need to study some Roadshow on the A1 to setup DSLnetworking via AT&T        and Yahoo! :)              As for dialup via modem, I don't have my linux anymore. So, that's one reason        for not doing that. I'm not aware of any TERM program working with the A1        and a FAX modem to call Eastpointe BBS, but I'll check it out. Let you know        what happens.              Regards, Dennis               --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5        * Origin: Eastpointe BBS (1:120/228)    |
