I seem to recall he said he bought from whatever company Dave Haynie is
working for now? Pretty sure, on the east coast, but can't provide any
more info. :-(
Maybe asking too much, but it just seems to me he should have gotten a
machine all ready to plug in and begin using!
But, my previous experience with Linux isn't too much different from
his. It was a couple of years ago though and I had hoped that things
were much improved by now.
As I recall I could at least get the desktop to appear but it was
'garbled'. That too was a case of no support for the video card. I did
manage to find an update but then couldn't figure out how to install
it.
