   Thanks! Responded. =)

I must say this - the Amiga 3000 was very literally designed to be used with a
hard disk. It's especially convenient on the SuperKickstart model to switch
ROMs, though floppies (as you've seen personally) do still work. =)

GG> Still would love it if PCMCIA cards could be used on this model,
GG> but that might just be a A1200 thing.

   A1200 and A600, yes.

GG> What kind of memory cards could be used on the A1200 (and other
GG> Amigas with the PCMCIA slot?)

Pretty much any 4MB (or smaller) PCMCIA RAM card should work, I believe.

GG> I think the keyboard is finally getting most of the rust knocked
GG> off of it. I took it apart to try to clean it... (A2000 keyboard)
GG> Impossible. But it did remind me of how the Atari 800 keyboard was

GG> little more modern than the 800. Making that Jay Miner connection, it

Jay was indeed a living legend. =) Everything he touched seemed to be ahead
   of its time.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the 3000!
