Anyone with basic soldering skills can do the same.              All you need is the square plug from an Amiga or C-128 (and the bricks are       NOT the same even though the plugs are compatible) and a working power       supply from an old desktop confuser. There was and probably still is a       pin out of both on the web - probably even a complete how-to article       and/or video ..... and the PC power supply has the advantage of being fan        cooled so it should live forever in a low current application like an        A-500.              ...
