   Maybe thats part of the "problem"? Fidonet or retrocomputing at the whole   
   is a hobby like collecting and taking care about other old stuff like   
   oldtimers or so.   
   For me it´s part of our culture we should conserve. You´ll need to find   
   other people being interested in this conserving thing. I don´t think that   
   you can convince people that Fidonet is a great communication platform.   
      
   And as with other strange hobbies you need to actively advertise this one   
   as well. Sitting around and waiting for new enthusiasts won´t work in the   
   long run.   
      
   Maybe an add in your local newspaper or on Craigslist could help...
