Re: CheckSum Acknowledged BBS        By: mark lewis to Jon Justvig on Thu Feb 08 2018 07:18 am                      WV>>>> What is 'CNet' ?               ml>>> https://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+amiga+CNet               JJ>> When in doubt, ask google.               ML> yup... uncle google is pretty smart and knows how to find things :)              And old message, but I thought I'd reply anyway. Google has helped me find a       lot of good resources I didn't or couldn't find when first starting BBSing or       even using computers. Some things, often the vintage stuff that is hard to       find. I should make available the hard stuff I find and place it on my system       for users to grab. I provide service with the community in one fashion or       another. Expanding on that is a good investment IMHO. Google has been good to       me in most cases, it even filters out most, but not all of the things I'm not       looking for. There are a few sites out there that are nothing but trash. I       have yet to find something good from the Tom's Hardware site that I often find       myself to come up onto in google searches, so I've stayed clear of that. I       have learned a lot even in programming my own door game by learning c/c++       through the use of google. It's a great tool and has come a long way.              Sincerely,       Jon Justvig       Stepping Stone BBS       telnet://vintagebbsing.com:2325       http://vintagebbsing.com:8085       --- SBBSecho 3.04-Win32        * Origin: Stepping Stone BBS -- vintagebbsing.com:2325 (1:298/27)    |
