   I'm going to take a guess that it's the people you talk to honestly. I was a    
   tech no code for 10 years before I upgraded. During that time, I made good    
   friends with people who were generals and extras. Never once did my limited    
   license ever factor into anything except for maybe field day.   
      
   My suggestion is what my momma told me, if your friends aren't nice to you,    
   then its time to get new friends.   
      
   Don't give up on the hobby, there are a lot of great people in the ranks that    
   don't care what class you are.   
      
   As far as upgrading, I've been a general license since '09, and haven't used    
   any of the privelages, so upgrading is only rewarding if you intend on using    
   it.
