I've only seen them rack mounted, standard 19 inch equipment rack, at least
the two I've seen, guy had a transmitter
mounted in the same rack, along with soem test gear iirc.
IN another rack he had a homebrew linear amplifier and its
   power supply.

The school for the blind in Vinton, iowa had a kwm-2
transceiver for the generals and above to operate.

Only place I ever got to operate an s-line station, with the matching
amplifier was at Methodist HOspital in Des Moines.
The hospital club station had that setup, and had rigged up
the gimmick on the watt meter so that a blind op who was a
hospital employee could operate it since he was an apartment dweller and
didn't have his own station. He'd let me in
there every once in awhile to play a bit. COOL!!!
   Drooling, a fine station.
