   Wrong! The booms are part of the feedline/matching system performing the   
   balancing of the feed and by varying the distance between the booms also   
   performs impedance matching.

   The LPYA has to be fed with a balanced feed which can be achieved with   
   a bazooka if only a balancing act is needed or a toroid transformer or   
   a balun if an impedance match is also needed.
