In a message dated 05-26-14, Tom Walker said to Holger Granholm:              Hi Tom,              HG>TW>The Create CLP-5130-1N LPDA antenna has Transmit capabilities for 50 to       HG>TW>1300 Mhz with a SWR of 2:1 or less              HG>Yes, a real LPDA can be made to cover almost any frequency span.              TW>And no matter the implimentation, Double boom or Single boom with       TW>insulated elements and crosssover wiring it is Still a Real LPDA              Nope, a real LPDA always has two booms and the feed is connected to the       front of the antenna with the braid to one boom and the inner conductor       to the other boom.              The front of the antenna is of course the end of the antenna with the       shortest elements.              The Swan (KLM) antenna presented in QST was called "a multidrive yagi"       antenna. No mention of log periodic was mentioned. The driven elements       are insulated from the boom because of the crossfeeding but the other       parasitic (reflector and directors) elements are mounted directly on the       boom.              If you are a collector of magazines you may have the QST Oct. 1969 issue       where the original presentation was made.              73 de Sam, OH0NC              aka Holger              ___        * MR/2 2.30 * If you find yourself in a hole -- stop digging.                     --- PCBoard (R) v15.22 (OS/2) 2        * Origin: Coming to you from the Sunny Aland Islands.
