Greetings Holger!               LF>> A director leads an orchestra when playing music. Radials are those        LF>> "elements" that are excited when radiating RF. The only thing        LF>> confusing about this are the molecs who're heating up those radials        LF>> because of their activity.               HG> The exited elements are named radiators or driven elements.              Yes, in a yagi or dipole.               HG> The reflector(s) and director(s) are parasitic elements.              No, they're mirrors and orchestra leaders. I think of your version of       reflectors as RF image deflectors and your directors as RF guidence       elements. Especially in a yagi antenna. Not so much as in a LPDA, as only       some of the elements are excited, while those which are not in use for a       radiated RF signal at a frequency in the design limitations of the       particular antenna are not.               Have a day!               R\%/itt - K5RXT              --- GoldED+/W32 1.1.5-31012       --- D'Bridge 3.99        * Origin: HAM Radio, aka Amateur Radio. 804?
