I have       an IC-3210a that has been modified (by lifting a couple of diodes from the       MB) to transmit out of the HAM bands and also to act as a cross-band       repeater. When we lived in San Diego, I used it to talk on commercial       radio repeaters owned by a friend of mine in the commercial radio business       there.               TW> Necesary of course becasue they are exported to many countries and        TW> the frequencies allowed for Hams can vary between countries.              In the case of the Icom, above, there are three versions of it. The       European version uses different frequencies than those allocated in the       US. The Australian version is again, different than either of the other       two. My Icom was modded about 15 years ago and still serves me well here.       I forget if it will cover the frequencies in the Euro or Aussie radio.                      R\%/itt                      ...
