Considering the cheapest desktop HF rig       I've seen is ~$500 US, and that's bare-bones, you're not exactly starting out       in the bargain basement. Wnat an SDR desktop like the IC-7300, then your       looking at a grand! Then there's the antennae, possibly a tower and/or amp,       and it goes from there.              Great hobby, but not a cheap one. It's no wonder most the hams I've listened       to were had professional careers before they retired.       --- SBBSecho 3.31-Linux        * Origin: End Of The Line BBS - endofthelinebbs.com (1:124/5016)       SEEN-BY: 10/0 1 103/1 705 105/81 106/201 124/0 5016 128/187 129/14       SEEN-BY: 129/305 153/7715 154/110 214/22 218/0 1 215 601 700 840 860       SEEN-BY: 218/880 900 910 226/30 227/114 229/110 112 134 200 206 307       SEEN-BY: 229/317 400 426 428 470 616 664 700 705 266/512 291/111 301/1       SEEN-BY: 320/219 322/757 342/200 396/45 460/58 633/280 712/848 902/26       SEEN-BY: 5075/35       PATH: 124/5016 218/700 229/426           |
