RW> TW> Having FUN again Roy. YOU knew what I meant.              RW>I would expect you to say what you mean. What you said could have thrown a       RW>wannabe HAM off the track, leading to an expectation of having a license       RW>in hand after spending 9 hours testing. That isn't the case.              RW>AFAIK, if you already have a license and you've successfully passed a       RW>higher license exam, you may operate with the higher privileges on your       RW>present class of license for 30 days or the day your new license is       RW>delivered in the mail. If you aren't presently licensed, you'll not be       RW>able to operate until you do have your license in hand.              Checket out Roy. YOU can operate as soon as the Passing of the exam is       Registered with the FCC by the Examiner, which can be done over the       internet. If the timing is just right(IF the examiner submits the data       to the FCC after the session) Some have found their name in the FCC data       base in two days. The licence itself takes two weeks or so to arrive.              So picking the Nits it is effectively walking out of the exam with a       licence. Yuo jsut have to hold off until it is in the FCC data base       before transmitting. BUT you are Efectively Licenced       ---        þ SLMR 2.1a þ Typo Tom strikes agaoin        * Origin: TECHWARE BBS - Since 1995 - www.techware.dynip.com (1:102/401)    |
