Well, now that I'm back among the living I can repost the question that I did       before. How many here into the new FT8 mode? Perhaps we worked. I may have       2 or 3 K of contacts on that mode. I am working it on 10 through 40 metets.              40 meters is a real bonus for me because I only have a small MFJ-1775 dipole       and I am amazed on how it perfoms especially in the FT8 mode. I am able to       work Europe, Africa, NA, SA, and even a little PAC with it. I've go one "once       in a lifetime SSB Contact in JA with the 40 meter antenna. It's confirmed by       QSO for a new country on 40.              I'm using the FT8 mode for new band and mode countries, and counties. I check       counties using information from LBOTW and a call book CD. I have 2060 digital       counties worked. These are combo of all digital modes.              The 9U DXPEDITION is on and they have said they may work some FT8. This give       me my best shot to work them on 40 if they do FT8 there.              I'm sticking with the R2 release as I think it has the best features. Also       use JTAlertX. Would like to see some improvements in that especially the way       it records new band countries. I'm updating those manually as they show up       in LBOTW.              -73-               -=> Al Kaiser n1api@cox.net <=-              That's all for now!              Al Kaiser - Meriden, CT, 09-Nov-2017 at 5:43.       Fido : 1:142/926 - Internet : n1api@cox.net              .!.
