   Although it was likely done, in this country it is not only frowned upon, it   
   will likely get you confiscation of the rig, and a big fine.

   Well be prepared to be surprised then.  Modding a CB IS illegal here, although   
   it likely still is done.  You can only go to the very low end of 10 meters if   
   Iremember correctly, and some of that is out of band for both 27 Mhz and 10   
   Meters
