Did anyone give verifiable evidence of that?  So far all I
have seen from all concerned parties has been propaganda.
The US is now saying the Russians / Putin 'created the
conditions' that led to the shooting, that is, the war in
the eastern parts of Ukraine, which sounds like they're
already walking back the various claims they made previously.
If we're talking about the war, the US certainly had a share
in 'creating the conditions.'

However, what I would really like to know is why a civilian
airliner from far away was flying over a war zone in the
first place.
