When        JA> I travel more than 100 miles one way in a day is when it will become an        JA> issue for me.              I'm scared of them because of the price, and because I don't know how the       payment for charging works. Biden's Ukraine War supposedly caused my electric       bill to get to where it is today, and just like with oil, any lame excuse can       "justify" the price of electric going up.               JA> LOL :-) Our house is not perfectly North/South, but close enough that a        JA> solar panel on the 'back' would work. I've started looking into that.        JA> Would be nice to be able to knock my electric bill down to just a few        JA> dollars a month, and maybe even 'sell back' some? I was reading about a        JA> 'power cell' (don't remember exactly what it was called) that would        JA> basically hold spare power so even in an outage your house can still              That sounds nice but I'm skeptical about it. My electric company invited me to       join a "solar program" about 5 years ago. They said "you'll get a discount       applied to your bill automatically." So I waited and waited and never saw the       discount applied. Then the bill started getting ridiculous (like doubled or       even tripled) and now a couple months ago I started seeing the credit I've       been waiting for on my bill and it's like $3. :)              I know you're talking about something totally different, and yea it sounds       good, but I just wanted to point this out.              --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A49 2023/04/30 (Windows/64)        * Origin: JoesBBS.Com, Telnet:23 SSH:22 HTTP:80 (1:342/200)       SEEN-BY: 105/81 106/201 128/187 153/7715 154/110 218/700 226/30 227/114       SEEN-BY: 229/110 114 206 317 426 428 470 700 705 266/512 291/111 292/854       SEEN-BY: 320/219 322/757 342/200 202 396/45 712/848 902/26 5075/35       PATH: 342/200 229/426           |
