   You drop off your ballot. The following day you get a robocall, text or email   
   confirming that your ballot has been received. If you don't receive   
   confirmation you call the local elections office at the telephone number on   
   your voter information packet and receive a new ballot or are asked to vote on   
   election day and ask for a provisional ballot.   
      
   I've never had a problem with a dropoff ballot.
