TID: Mystic BBS 1.12 A46       MSGID: 1:387/26 d0f313a7       REPLY: 1:267/150 134334c7       TZUTC: -0600       On 09 Feb 2021, Gregory Deyss said the following...        GD> Because Trump was leading in every battleground state that there was        GD> right up to midnight and then something happened in the early hours        GD> didn't it....              Indeed it did. But what happened in the early hours is no mystery; it's been       well-documented. Not everyone voted on Election Day; some voted early and       some mailed in their voted. However, by law, those votes were to be stored       uncounted until Election Day.              A couple of factors influenced the respective makeups of the Election-Day and       early/mail-in votes:       1. One candidate made it abundantly clear to his supporters that mail-in       voting was not to be trusted, and       2. Early voting is more popular in places where there tend to be long lines       at the polls; i.e., urban areas.              So on Election Day, they start counting the votes, and they started with the       Election-Day votes which, due to the factors mentioned above, were       disproportionately urban/conservative/Republican. And then around 2am, as you       have noted, they finished up the Election-Day votes and moved on to the       early/mail-in votes, and due to the same factors these were       disproportionately rural/liberal/Democrat.              Rather than being some grand conspiracy, it boils down to behavioral       differences between voters for the two candidates.              Jeff.       --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A46 2020/08/26 (Raspberry Pi/32)        * Origin: Cold War Computing BBS (1:387/26)       SEEN-BY: 1/123 14/0 19/25 33 80/1 88/0 90/1 103/705 105/81 106/633       SEEN-BY: 106/987 120/340 123/131 124/5014 5016 130/803 154/10 203/0       SEEN-BY: 218/700 221/0 1 6 226/30 227/114 229/101 424 426 700 1016       SEEN-BY: 229/1017 240/1120 5832 249/206 317 261/38 280/464 5003 282/464       SEEN-BY: 282/1038 288/100 292/854 8125 301/1 113 310/31 317/3 322/757       SEEN-BY: 342/200 387/21 25 26 396/45 423/120 460/58 712/848 770/1       SEEN-BY: 801/188 197 202 900/100 106 108 902/6 7 25 26 27 920/1 2452/250       SEEN-BY: 5058/104       PATH: 387/26 396/45 280/464 292/854 301/1 80/1 902/27 90/1 229/426           |
