REPLY: 1:229/426 C63765E1       MSGID: 1:153/757 5f2cffc1       CHRS: UTF-8 2       TZUTC: -0700       TID: hpt/lnx 1.9.0-cur 2020-04-15       Hello Aaron,               AI>> considered the problem to only be hurting blue states so he left        AI>> it for "th               AT> However, this part sounds like news with a twist.              Look at the facts.               AT> All I know is New York. It was the world's epicenter at first, but now        AT> officials for the state of New York are claiming a victory with        AT> flattening the curve.              That disaster didn't happen because New York is blue. If that is true the       challenge now is to keep new infections and deaths down as much as possible.               AT> This is the most liberal blue state in all of the USA (in my opinion.)              California is also blue, a great success although caronvirus is still a       problem there.               AT> Trump gave state governors autonomy with handling coronavirus.              Of course state governors are reponsible for their states.              Do you think a national plan might be in order in this crisis?              The white house was going to present one. Jared Kushner was in charge of it       but it was never presented and as of today there is no national plan.              Even the CDC's guidelines were shelved in favor of a quick reopening.               AT> Some states have done poorly with reopening (Arizona, Florida, Texas)        AT> but the media (and Democrats) prefer to blame Trump instead of blaming        AT> Democratic state governors.              The media (and Democrats) are not the enemy of the people as Trump tweets.              If there was a national plan that included resources for problem areas it       would be easier to make a dent in this crisis.               AT> How would the USA react if Trump were to deploy our military to        AT> enforce mask wearing? Or if he used the military to enforce social        AT> distancing?              Masks and social distancing are good ideas but I hope you don't need to call       in the military to make that happen!               AT> They're just opportunists looking for ways to make gay marriages        AT> gayer, to make abortions more painful, or to make counterfeit money        AT> more legal.              Huh?               AT> Anyone who stands in the way of liberal policies as much as Trump        AT> does, is in for trouble.              If you or Trump or whoever doesn't like liberal policies or ideas, just come       up with a better more workable conservative policy and get started.               AI>> are many new cases and deaths on a daily basis and now he wants        AI>> schools ope back up in the middle of all that - when/where will        AI>> that end?               AT> Trump is "in favor" of reopening schools, but again, he's not        AT> dictating school openings;              Well yes, he is dictating. He ordered/demanded schools reopen or lose their       funding. It's all much like what he did with states reopening although he       doesn't have the power/authority to do that either.              He doesn't have the power/authority for the secret police that have been       rounding up people on the streets of Portland and elsewhere. Never the less,       he does it anyway.              Things like this make it hard for folks (even Republican's) to vote for him.               AT> he's letting the governors control school reopenings. When those        AT> governers do a bad job, fingers will be pointed at Trump because his        AT> voice sounds like Sinatra.              Does his voice really sound like Sinatra? ;)              Fingers are pointed at Trump for the things he has done. There will be more       fingers pointed at him before he is done I am sure.               Ttyl :-),        Al       --- GoldED+/LNX        * Origin: The Rusty MailBox - Penticton, BC Canada (1:153/757)       SEEN-BY: 1/120 123 14/0 18/0 80/1 88/0 90/1 103/705 105/81 116/116       SEEN-BY: 120/340 123/0 25 50 131 150 170 180 755 135/300 153/105 135       SEEN-BY: 153/757 802 6809 7715 154/10 30 40 50 700 203/0 218/700 221/0       SEEN-BY: 221/1 6 226/30 227/114 201 229/101 424 426 700 1016 1017       SEEN-BY: 240/1120 5832 249/206 317 261/38 280/464 5003 282/464 1038       SEEN-BY: 288/100 292/854 8125 300/4 301/1 113 310/31 317/3 322/757       SEEN-BY: 342/17 200 396/45 423/120 712/848 770/1 801/188 197 202 900/100       SEEN-BY: 900/106 108 902/6 7 25 26 27 920/1 2452/250 3634/0 12 15       SEEN-BY: 3634/27 30 50 5058/104       PATH: 153/757 3634/12 154/10 280/464 292/854 301/1 80/1 902/27       PATH: 90/1 229/426           |
