*** Quoting mark lewis from a message to Mike Roberts ***               MR> Just curious if anyone is still out there.               ml> i and my systems are still "out there" ;)              There Ya are, C'mon out were I can see ya... :)               MR> I was wondering what You thought of all these new shows on        MR> Television about Alaska, The Yukon etc. Having never been up there,        MR> I find them interesting and fascinating.               ml> i used to watch a few of them quite a bit but then between seasons        ml> when they repeat the episodes, i lost interest and never looked        ml> back... i'd rather watch old episodes of Dr.Who, Top Gear, How do              I guess that is where I am a bit lucky Mark, although there have been some        new ones too, with new seasons. My current favorites are Yukon Men, and One        that I have seen repeats, but season ended last week, Alaska the final        Frontier. Both good shows in my book. My current favorite is Life Below Zero.        They have several families living in different non cities quite a way above        the arctic circle. I just find it amazing that they can survive sometime.        they have great skills. They also live in some of the most beautiful country.        There is one called Mountain Men also.. Only one guy lives up there, but he        is something else. He looks like a hillbilly idiot, but that guy is amazing.        He is like MacGuyver. Can fix just about anything, with nothing. ;-)       Then there is wild west Alaska which is pretty idiotic, But the young lass        named Phred makes it worth watching :-) She probably sells more guns than        most of the other staff put together.               ml> they do it?, and similar with numerous forays to the military channel        ml> for some of their informational shows over there...              Love the military channel, and I am a history fan also, so the history        channels are pretty good. But like You said above, a lot of repeats. But even        some of their dramas have been good. I liked the Vikings mini series and look        forward to that coming back.              Mike              ... If there's one thing I can't stand, it's intolerance.              --- Telegard v3.09.g2-sp4/mL        * Origin: The Holodeck BBS (1:261/1381)    |
