All herbal incenses are not pleasingly fragrant
We do not mean to imply that they are obnoxious
but the reader experimenting with such, should
bear in mind that they were burned to
accomplish certain occult purposes and not
    merely for their scent.
The writer offers the contents for experimentation,
interest, and whatever value it may have.

                  ABSINTHE
There is a strange legend concerning
this herb that tells us it acts as an
aphrodisiac when made into a tea. The
tea is usually sweetened with pure honey.
It is also said that a bit of absinthe sprinkled
under the bed of a loved one will draw that
one to the one who does the sprinkling.
Absinthe sprinkled in the corners of your
linen and clothes closet is said to keep
away evil and protect the linens and
    clothing.
Another legend tells us that a small amount
of absinthe mixed with sandalwood and burned
as an incense with prayers and incantations
will bring the spirits of the dead to
    commune with You.
It is also believed that a bit of absinthe
added to the food while it is cooking will
make the most frigid person amorous and
one who is thought to be sterile will find
    one is again virile.
Absinthe is another name for Mugwort and
Wormwood. These too, are used in an
occult way which will be discussed later.

              ACACIA FLOWERS
It is said that to burn Acacia as a love
offering to the gods is to receive their
blessings. It was allegedly burned by
the priests in the ancient Temples of
Egypt. It is believed that the burning
of Acacia leaves or flowers stimulates
    the psychic centers.
Witches have, and still do, burn Acacia
with other herbs and powders as an
    offering to (Diety).

          ADAM AND EVE ROOT
Purportedly used to win the one you
desire. They are supposed to be used
in pairs. If a woman wishes to attract
a certain man, she gives him an Adam
root and if a man desires to attract a
certain woman, he gives her an Eve root.
husbands and wives can exchange these
roots in the same manner thus insuring
    their fidelity of each other.

              AFRICAN GINGER
African Ginger is believed to be an
excellent remedy for the grippe, gout,
    colds and delayed menstruation when
brewed as a tea and taken hot. Some
people chew a little for sore throats.
There is legend that claims Ginger is
pleasing to the Elementals and those
who work with the power of the Elementals
first sprinkle a little Ginger in each
corner of the room where the work is to
    be done.

               ARGUE ROOT
Argue Root will allegedly destroy an
enemy's power to harm. The one who
is being harmed or persecuted is supposed
to mix four ounces of Argue root cut in
small pieces, four ounces of Patchouly
leaves crushed, four ounces of Myrrh in
small lumps, four ounces of Olibanum
tears, four ounces of Wood Betany and one
ounce of Saltpeter. This is supposed to be
mixed thoroughly and used as an incense.
It must be burned on Pure Bamba Wood
charcoal. As the smoke rises you are
    supposed to say:
         "Burn fire, Rise smoke,
          Michael, Samael, Anael,
          Thee I invoke!
Let the Evil sent to me
Be returned unto (name of sender)!

                         ALFALFA
This is thought to be one of the oldest
of Nature's remedies. Alfalfa is very
high in protein, and rich in minerals.
    It was named by the Arabs. A L- F A L-F A
    means Father of all foods.
It is believed by many that a small
package of Alfalfa in the Cupboard insures
    a house against hunger.

                        ALOES
This herb we are told is used in
    following Love Spell:
Mix one ounce of aloes with two ounces
of Musk. During a night hour of Venus,
take a small piece of parchment paper
and in Dove's Blood Ink write the name of
the one you desire. Take three hairs from
the private part of your body and lay them
on the parchment. As each hair is laid on
    the paper say:
"By the power of the Great (Diety),
By the strength of the Mighty Horned one,
Let all that is of mine, all that is of thine
Be now and forevermore as one.
This boon I seek in the name of (Diety)!"
Anoint the parchment Paper and the hairs
with Witch's Oil. Now burn to ashes. Burn
some of the Aloes and Musk mix. and when
it is completely burned mix the ashes of the
incense with the ashes from the burned paper
and hairs. Scatter these ashes in front of
your loved one's home. If you do not know
where he or she lives then scatter a little to
the four points of the compass and say:
''Oh Wind, carry this to where my
loved one lies, may he (she) no rest
or peace know, until we are united as
one. In the name of our Beloved
Goddess, (Diety), this deed is done!"

                     ALTHEA
Althea crushed as fine as possible and
mixed with Egyptian Papyrus incense is
said to aid in the conjuration of spirits.

                   ANGELICA
A Wizard told us that a little Angelica
sprinkled in the corners of each room of
your house will ward off any evil. Sprinkled
around the outside of Your house to
prevent evil from entering your home.
