I've seen a few requests for source code for some system function
or another, and there's an easy answer for all:

ftp gatekeeper.dec.com in
/archive/.0/BSD/FreeBSD/FreeBSD-1.1.5.1-RELEASE/tarballs/srcdist/

This is a pointer to the source code for FreeBSD, a free UNIX implementation
for IBM-PC compatibles. Source for the system libraries, for example,
is in lib.a[a-e]. You could also get source from 386BSD, NetBSD, Linux,
or any other free UNIX implementation.

Hint hint: if you are using MS-DOS and getting frustrated with its
limitations, check out FreeBSD!
