3+Reach/MCI Version 1.0
Part Number 4615-00
3/21/88

Review the following release notes before installing or using
the 3+Reach/MCI software. The page references refer to the
3+Reach/MCI Administrator's Guide.

.H1;Correct MCI Password

Page 3-8, 6-11

Error while getting X.PC packet mode
 or
 Error sending user name

may indicate that the password you entered on the
account information screen does not agree with the
password MCI has on file. When you set up this screen
be sure to enter the password exactly as stated in the
MCI welcome letter.

To solve the problem, correct the password on the
account information screen.

.H1;Returning to DOS

You may want to exit the gateway software and return to DOS
while the following screen is displayed.

To do this, press [Ctrl]+[Break]. You will see the following
prompt:

Terminate batch job (Y/N)?

Answer Y and the DOS prompt is displayed.

If the gateway is active (any screen other than the above is
displayed), allow the operation to proceed and redisplay the
screen above. Then exit to DOS by pressing [Ctrl]+[Break] as
described.

If, however, the gateway is active and seems to be
malfunctioning, reboot the gateway server by pressing
[Ctrl]+[Alt]+[Delete] not [Ctrl]+[Break].

.H1;Indication of Bad Com Port on a 3Station
Page 4-3

If you see the following message:

Internal stack failure

on the operation screen when you first start up the
gateway on a 3Station after the setup procedures, check
the condition of your communication port. It may not be
functioning correctly.
