Following are the most commonly asked questions and answers about
Bridge X.25 products.

Q: Can the Interconnection and Connection Service applications
be performed on the same GS/1?

A: Yes. The system generation program embedded in the GS/1
software allows different lines of the GS/1 to be configured
for different types of applications.

Q: Can the Internconnection and Connection Services be running
over the same line on the GS/1?

A: Yes. In order for the GS/1 to perform these two services on
the same line, the GS/1 software should be sysgenned for the
Interconnection Service application. After the sysgen has
been set up, the appropriate application will be selected
according to the type of packet received over the PDN.

Q: Can a collect call be accepted or rejected by a GS/1?

A: Yes. The GS/1 can be sysgenned to reject or accept a collect
call as well as to initiate a collect call.

Q: Can the same GS/1 be configured as Data Communication
Equipment (DCE) and Data Terminal Equipment (DTE)?

A: Yes. If more than one line is used in the GS/1, each line
can be configured separately to comply with the appropriate
application.

Q: Does the GS/1 perform any window-size or packet-size
negotiation with the PDN?

A: The GS/1 only performs window-size or packet-size negotiation
with the PDN if the window size or packet size of the PDN is
smaller than the GS/1. The window size and packet size of
the GS/1 can be altered in the sysgen program.
