        Explanatory Codes

Code Meaning Description
-----------------------------------------------------------------
AB Aborted boot/ The specified Communications Server's
upload boot or upload was aborted.

AD Autodisconnected The session was inactive longer than
                            the interval specified by the
                            AUToDisconnect parameter of the
                            destination port.

BA Bad address The port number in the specified
                            destination address was invalid.

BU Busy The requested destination port was
already in use as port of another
                            virtual circuit.

DA Disabled/ The requested destination port did
        non-existent        not respond to a connection request;
                            usually indicates that destination
device is turned off or disconnected,
but can also mean that the
                            configuration of the destination
                            device is not appropriate.

FS File system error The requested boot was unsuccessful
because of a missing or inaccessible
boot file or the requested upload was
                            unsuccessful because the system was
unable to create, open, write to, or
                            close the dump file.

IC Incompatible A remote server is running a version
                            of the communications software that
                            is incompatible with the version
                            running on the reporting server.

ND No disk space The requested upload was unsuccessful
                            because there was inadequate disk
                            space for the dump file.

NR No response The session terminated for one of
                            three reasons: because no activity
took place on the circuit for the
period of time specified by the
                            AUToDisconnect parameter; because the
server at the host end stopped
responding to packets from the server
at the terminal end; or because the
                            host disconnected automatically after
                            the user logged out.

OK Normal boot/ Error-free boot, disconnection, or
        disconnect/upload upload.

RF Remote file The requested upload was unsuccessful
system error because of an error during the
                            crashed server's attempt to open,
read, or close its memory image.

SE System error The NCS/AT encountered an unexpected
                            operating system error.

TO Timeout The server received no answer to a
                            request for information across the
                            network; usually indicates that the
server to which the request is
                            directed is turned off or
                            disconnected.

UP Uploadlooking A CS/200 or IVECS has crashed and is
request looking for its primary boot/
                            upload server.
