There are several potential problems when using Dun and Bradstreet's
Brightview product with Maxess HLLAPI:

* Maxess 1.30 did not have EHLLAPI support. The standard for Maxess
1.3.0 HLLAPI support was IBM's 3270 WCP's HLLAPI version 3.0. This is more
commonly known as HLLAPI 3.0.

The standard for Maxess 1.3.2 or 1.1 is IBM's EHLLAPI, which appears in
several of IBM's emulation offerings (Personal Communications\3270 or OS/2
EE Commmunication Manager). The customer should upgrade to the latest
Maxess version (1.3.2 or Maxess Open 1.1) for EHLLAPI support. HLLAPI 3.0
had only 31 functions while EHLLAPI has 36 functions.

* There are problems with the screen input from Brightview to Maxess
HLLAPI. This can be resolved by having the customer upgrade to Brightview's
version 90.01.

* Both Maxess and Brightview consume quite a lot of memory (Brightview
requires 420 KB), so Maxess can only be loaded with the "HLLAPI only"
selection, which requires 144 KB for one session and 2 KB for each additional
session. When running the "HLLAPI only" option, the 3270 emulator is running
but the input and output (screen and keyboard) functionality is provided by
the HLLAPI application and not Maxess. Dun and Bradstreet will be working
on a version of Brightview that requires less memory.
