3Com Technical Services engineers tested 2 CS/210s and 2 Brouters with
both a Sniffer and a logic analyzer (with a granularity of 2 milliseconds)
connected together, to find the following results for TCP/IP and XNS
Break signals.

TCP/IP Break Signals:

Sniffer results--Using TCP with the Breakaction set to Inband, the CS/210
sends an IAC Telnet Interrupt. Using Breakaction set to Outband, the CS/210
sends an IAC Break. If the Breakaction parameter is set to Outband,Inband,
the CS/210 sends an IAC Telnet Interrupt and then an IAC Break.

Logic analyzer results--These are the signals that were sent for each type
of parameter configuration on TCP:

Breakaction = IN (host port set to ) IN = 296 ms (milliseconds)
              IN OUT/IN = 300 ms
              OUT/IN OUT/IN = 294 thru 304 (erratic)
              OUT/IN IN = 286 ms
              IN OUT = 292 ms
              OUT OUT = 290, 288 ms
              OUT IN = 284 ms

XNS Break Signals:

Sniffer results--XNS sends out Breaks and Sniffer shows the breaks received
as packets with Attention and End Of Message.

Logic analyzer results--These are the signals that were sent for each
type of parameter configuration on XNS:

Breakaction = IN (host port set to ) IN = 296 ms
              IN OUT = 296 ms
              OUT OUT = 292 ms
              OUT IN = 292 ms
