Title: 3+ Error on Macintosh Using DaynaFile
Date: 7/13/90

Copyright 3Com Corporation, 1991. All rights reserved.

On a Macintosh station with a DaynaFile system installed, if you log in and
try to link to any network folders, you will see one of these errors:

 Type: 12, ID: -18 or Type: 12, ID: -19

(DaynaFile is an external unit from Dayna Communications to let Macintosh
users use DOS files on the Macintosh.)

The problem is due to the DaynaFile software incorrectly handling
non-DaynaFile external volumes; in this case, 3+ for Macintosh volumes.
Dayna has not announced a fix.

To work around the problem, rename the file "DaynaFile" in the system folder
to "1DaynaFile." Then reboot the station so that DaynaFile and 3+ can both
be accessed by the Macintosh.
