Title: Fix for Failure of 3+ Backup When Long Paths Are Encountered
Date: 3/11/91

Copyright 3Com Corporation, 1991. All rights reserved.

3+ Backup 1.5.2 with the Macintosh Service installed will fail during a
restore operation when files with pathnames exceeding 70 characters are
encountered. In an on-line restore, the server will fail with an
UNEXPECTED SW INT 06 on the LCD. An off-line restore will result in both
the server and the netstation hung with no error messages.

To solve the problem, there is a patch to 1.5.2 Backup (labeled 1.6 on 3+
Backup diskettes). The files BACKUP.EXE, B1.EXE, and B2.EXE were changed.
Just as with the prior 1.5.2 code, the new patched version of Backup is
supported only on 3S/400- and 3S/500-series servers.

To update a server, copy the new BACKUP.EXE to the 3Backup directory. Then
copy B1.EXE and B2.EXE to the root directory of your Backup #2 diskette.
(B1.EXE and B2.EXE are only used by an off-line restore.)
