Title: Problem With the 3P Resume ? Command When Used As Server-User
Date: 6/22/90

If, as the server-user, you use the prompting form of the 3P RESUME command
to start a printer that you are not linked to, you will not be prompted for
the printer sharename, even though you are prompted for the other parameters
that follow the prompt for printer sharename. The prompts look like this:

D:> 3P resume ?
Printer Id (PRN)?
Allow New Links [Y/N]?
Form Number?
Form Feeds [ON/OFF]?
Banners [ON/OFF]?

Regardless of how you respond to these prompts, the command will fail
because you have not been prompted to specify the printer sharename.

To work around this problem, use the command line format of 3P RESUME.
For example, to resume the use of a previously stopped printer
to which you are not linked, issue the command:

D:> 3P RESUME [Printername] /new

This command will start the printer and allow new links as intended.

The described procedure was tested on a 3S/500 server running 3+ Share
1.5.1.
