Title: Recreating NS_DOM Files Under OS/2
Date: 2/1/91

Copyright 3Com Corporation, 1991. All rights reserved.

A server's NS_DOM files can become corrupted if the server is powered down
and the NS_DOM files are not properly shut, or they can be accidentally
deleted. If you cannot recover the original NS_DOM files, use the
following procedure to recreate them.

Note: Before starting, make sure the server has no filenames beginning with
"NS_DOM".

If running 3NAME on a 3Server:

1. From a workstation, start a NET ADMIN to administer the server. This
will give you a \\servername prompt:

    [R:\]Net admin \\[servername] /c
    [\\[servername]]

2. Run DOMINIT.EXE from the \\servername prompt by typing the full
pathname of the command:

    [\\[servername]] c:\3open\3name\dominit

This will create a new NS_DOM.000 file.

Note: Do not try to run DOMINIT.EXE from a workstation that has a
connection to a network drive when you are in the \3open\3name directory, or
you will get this message:

    3+Open Domain Initializer v1.0
*** Error - [1]LANMAN.INI PARAMETER MISSING: "NETWORK NUMBER".

If running 3NAME on a Concurrent PC server:

From the concurrent workstation, run DOMINIT.EXE in the \3open\3name
directory:

    [C:\3OPEN\3NAME] dominit
