A 3+ dedicated server may occasionally fail with "Backup Failure" on the
LCD. When this happens, establish a console connection to the server
and run LASTBOOT.

You may see the error message "Error initializing 3+Backup Literals
File." (The 3+Backup Literals file, C:\3PLUS\3CONFIG\BKP.MSG, contains
the messages that are displayed on the LCD.)

There are two possible causes for this error:

1. The server is out of DOS memory. The 3+Backup literals are read from
BKP.MSG into memory. If 3+Backup cannot allocate DOS memory, 3+Backup will
fail.

2. There was a file system (CIOSYS) error opening BKP.MSG. Ensure that
BKP.MSG is in the subdirectory C:\3PLUS\3CONFIG. Check the server status
log for CIOSYS errors.
