Title: VT P-Abort Error Using TCP/LAT Comm Server Software

Suppose you are attempting to make a connection to a port on a
Communications Server running SW/2000-TL version 4.x. An error message
similar to the following is returned:

.LT
     LAT: Service ttt not found
Connection using IP ... VT p-abort.
     Connection attempt failed.
.EL

(ttt represents the IP Name or address to which you are attempting
to connect.)

This error message replaces the more familiar message:

   Connecting...Remote is disabled or nonexistent

The error occurs because the port you are attempting to connect to is
not set up correctly to establish a connection. Although other conditions
may cause the error message, two conditions guaranteed to cause this are

   * having Baud rate set to AutoBaud

   * having UseDTR set to AsDTR when Device is set to Terminal

Solution:

If you are set to AutoBaud, reset it to some numerical value, then
Listen on the port. When you reenter the User Interface, Baud Rate will be
set to the new value.

If the port you are attempting to connect to has its Device parameter
set for Terminal, and UseDTR is set to AsDTR, reset the UDTR parameter
to either ADCD or Ignore.

One or both of these changes should allow the connection to be established.
