Changing the voltage settings between 110V and 220V is different on
3S/200- and 3S/400-series servers. Following are procedures for converting
a 120 VAC unit to a 220 VAC unit on both types of servers.

For 3S/200-series servers:

1. Remove the power supply from the server.

2. Change the jumper located about the AC terminals from the
120 VAC to the 220 VAC terminal. The jumpers are located
on either side of the two large capacitors.

3. Replace the 5-amp fuse on the power supply with the
factory-supplied (ASTEC) 3-amp fuse.

4. Change the label on the back of the power supply from 120 VAC
to the factory-supplied (ASTEC) 220 VAC label.

5. Install the external 2.5-amp fuse for the 3Server3 base
or the 2-amp fuse (P/N 3414-00) for the 3Server3 disk expansion using
the 220 VAC assembly fuse carrier (P/N 0598-02).

6. Remove the 120 VAC label and replace it with a 220 VAC label.

7. Replace the 120 VAC assembly power cord with a 220 VAC assembly
power cord (P/N 0531-04).

The ASTEC fuse and label (P/N 2887-00) are available through
Repair Services.

For 3S/400-series servers:

1. Locate the plastic cover which is on the voltage set
switch on the back side of the server.

2. Toggle the switch setting from the 115V mark to the 220V mark.

3. Replace the 120 VAC assembly power cord with a 220 VAC assembly
power cord (P/N 0531-04).
