Title: Adding the "MacintoshInstalled" Property to the 3+Name Service
Date: 2/27/90

When you install the Macintosh File Service on a 3+Share 1.3.1 (or later
version server), then reboot the server, the Macintosh File Service tries
to set the "MacintoshInstalled" property in the 3+Name service to Yes for
that server name. If the property does not exist in the 3+Name service
(probably because your 3+Name service is a version in which
MacintoshInstalled is not one of the default properties) you will have to
add the property to the 3+Name service to get that server to come up.

If this is your problem, you will see the error message:

Error creating/locating Mac fileservice property for
   "server:domain:organization".
   Property not defined!

To solve the problem, locate the file ADDPROP.BAT on the MacFS
diskette. Execute it on a workstation where you are logged in with admin
privileges. ADDPROP.BAT calls the 3N.EXE program, so make sure it is in
your path.

After you run the batch file, the property will be in your 3+Name service
and you will be able to bring up the server that has MacFS installed.
