3+ Configuration Steps:

1. Use 3INS to configure the modem for 3+Route.

2. Add a route for the remote 3+Open network. The network number for
the 3+Open network can be located in the PROTOCOL.INI (route1=net#)
or the 3NAME section of LANMAN.INI.

3. Use the "3n2 add server" command (3n for DOS netstations) to add the
3+Open network to the 3Plus name service. The network number is the
same one that was added in step 2. The Ethernet address of the 3+Open
server can be determined by using the "3nb2 dir" command. Answer
"yes" when asked if Share and Route are installed.

Preliminary steps for 3+Open Internet setup:

1. When configuring Internet, make sure you answer "yes" to the
questions "Is this a partial list?" and "Are 3+ Networks permitted?" in the
Networks List menu.

2. Make a 3+Open boot disk. You will need 3F.EXE, 3N.EXE, REMSERV.BAT,
LOGIN.EXE and 3NB.EXE from \apps\dosapps on the 3+Open server.

Note: Make sure the HOME_SERVER parameter is set to the remote 3+Open
server's name.

Log in:

1. Boot the netstation and log into the 3+ network.

2. Type "remserv LOCAL_COMPUTER_NAME REMOTE_SERVER_NAME remote-network-
number" to register the names in the locater tables.

Note: The command is case-sensitive, so type uppercase letters as
uppercase and lowercase letters in lowercase.

3. Type "net logon" to log into the remote server. Afterwards, you
can use the "net use" command to access shared resources on the
remote network.
