The LAN Manager error message "Failed to re-encrypt password" appears
because the passwords created by the MAKEACC and GROWACC utilities are not
automatically encrypted.  This is a known problem in LAN Manager versions
1.x.  The problem does not appear in LAN Manager 2.0, because the ACC
database is dynamic and no longer uses the MAKEACC, GROWACC, and CLEANACC
utilities.

To work around the problem, change or re-enter the passwords at the NET
ADMIN screen.
