Title: LOCATOR2.EXE Not Updated After 3+Open 1.1e Maintenance Update

Check your LOCATOR2.EXE in the \3open\server\lanman\drivers
subdirectory on the server running Locator. After the 1.1
Maintenance Update, it is supposed to be dated 11-02-89, but it
may not be.

This is because the only changes the installation program makes to
Locator is to insert the LOCATOR2.3CM dated 11-02-89 into the
\3open\os2drv\prot\xns subdirectory. The installation program
does NOT modify the STARTUP.CMD file to copy LOCATOR2.3CM to
LOCATOR2.EXE so that the new one is executed upon boot, as it
does with other files that are open during an upgrade.

If Locator is running, executing NETSETUP only copies the
LOCATOR2.3CM from the \3open\os2drv\prot\xns subdirectory into
the \3open\server\lanman\drivers subdirectory. It does NOT modify the
STARTUP.CMD batch file to rename the LOCATOR2.3CM to LOCATOR2.EXE.

To work around the problem, follow these steps:

1. Link to C$ on your server running Locator.

2. Type NET STOP LOCATOR.

3. Type the following commands:

copy c:\3open\os2drv\prot\xns\LOCATOR2.3CM to
        c:\3open\server\lanman\drivers\LOCATOR2.EXE.

4. Type NET START LOCATOR.

Another workaround would be to:

1. Type NET STOP LOCATOR.

2. Execute NETSETUP and Modify the Configuration but keep all the same
parameters. When you choose the protocol, it will copy
c:\3open\os2drv\prot\xns\LOCATOR2.3CM to
c:\3open\server\lanman\drivers\LOCATOR2.EXE for you.

3. Type NET START LOCATOR.
