Title: Cache Error When Loading 3+Menus
DATE: 8/30/89

Copyright 3Com Corporation, 1991. All rights reserved.

If no Share directory is defined for a user, and the user loads
3+Menus, the following error message will appear: "Cache error.
Press any key to continue."

This is because 3+Menus looks for a home directory. To alleviate the
problem, execute a 3N MODIFY on the user and give the user a HomeDir
so it adds to the Share server.

A user might not have a home directory defined in the Share server if
the user only wants to dial into the network from home via 3+Remote to
collect mail. Manually, the user would log in and load Mail to an inbox
that is located on the local workstation. The user does not need a home
directory on the Share server, since he is not linking to anything. But
if the user decides to load 3+Menus and use it to log in and run Mail,
the cache error will be generated.

(Note that the Mail and Menus programs are loaded at the local
workstation to save transmission time.)
