Title: Adding and Deleting 3+Mail Folders

The first time you create a new folder, 3+Mail automatically
creates a MAIL.MFI file for you, which is located in your inbox.
This is the default name of your folders file. The .MFI
extension stands for Mail Folders Initialization.

The MAIL.MFI file contains information about all of the mail
folders you have created as well as some parameters that you can
change to suit your needs. 3+Mail reads this file every time you
look up the list of folders you have created.

Your MAIL.MFI file should look something like this:

    Folder Path=e:\Macproject\Emily;Title=Mac;Max=300
    Folder Path=e:\TechSppt\Emily;Title=MacII;Max=300

Folder entries such as the ones shown above are automatically
added to the MAIL.MFI file when you create folders from within
3+Mail. The folder entries are NOT created automatically when
you created folders from the command line. (For information on
how to create folders from within 3+Mail see the 3+Mail Users
Guide 4-10 to 4-12.)

At the end of each folder entry, the parameter Max= specifies the
maximum number of mail messages you can put into this folder. If
you exceed the number of mail messages defined on this line,
3+Mail will not allow you to receive any new messages. The
maximum number that can be specified is 2048. To change the
parameter, use MED or another text editor.

Use MED or another text editor to delete or add folder entries to
the MAIL.MFI file. (You would add folder entries to the file if
you created folders from the command line.)
