If you see Disk Bus Fault x on the LCD of a 3server, regardless of
the exact numeric error code, check the cabling first. It may be
due to 1) loose connections in or to the external cables; 2)
wrong power-on sequence, i.e. started server BEFORE expansion
disk(s); or 3) loose or improper connections to internal cables.
Are the ribbon cables torn? Are power connectors to controllers
and drives seated properly?

Disk Bus Fault x

bad controller, or bad CME board.

2. Disk controller can't be selected. Indicates bad controller or bad
CME board.

3. Disk controller claims it is occupied. Indicates bad controller

4. It could be symptom of interrupt 6 error, if using 3Plus
