In the connectivity guide description of the 3Com 3S/401 2-6MB memory
upgrades it says you can use only 100ns 256K chip sets to upgrade
the memory. Below is information on memory chips (with part numbers)
that can be used for this upgrade. The recent "3+Servers Product Line Guide"
listed three of these vendors; since then three additional vendors have
been certified.

The following RAM chips have been qualified to work with the 3S/400
memory expansion board. They are 256K X 4 100ns chips. The Toshiba
RAMs are the recommended chips for this system.

    Toshiba - TC514256P-10
    Mitsubishi - M5M44C256P-10
    Panasonic - MN414256-10
    OKI - MSM514256-10
    Hitachi - HM514256P-10
