You must install 3+ for Mac on every file server on the
network that you want to access from a Mac. This is exactly like
the 3+ installation. So if users want to access all the file
servers, they must buy a copy of 3+ Mac for every server.

The NetConnect that ships with 3+Mac is different than the
NetConnect product we sell for $1295. You must have the Mac
NetConnect on every server you want to connect Appletalk to. You
cannot have Token and AppleTalk on one server. If you install
3+Mac/NetConnect on a Token server, you must re-install the
regular product NetConnect in order to talk to the Token boards.
In other words, if you install Mac/NetConnect over the regular
NetConnect, it will overwrite the regular NetConnect. Simply re-install
to get Token support.

We are not supporting 3+Mac for PC servers. 3+ Mac users will
not be able to access information from a PC server. We have no
plans to support PC servers.

Ethernet support for the Mac will not give you 40 times the
performance. The actual performance improvement may not be very
noticeable. The importance of Mac/Ethernet support is that it
increases the number of users you can have on a Mac network, as
Ethernet has 40 times the bandwidth of AppleTalk. Macs on
Ethernet are useful for large networks, and not very useful for
small networks.
