Access control offers the network manager the ability to limit
access to the GS/X.25-IP to users from previously defined X.25
addresses. Here is how it works.

The calling address of an incoming X.25 call indication is compared
to a list of valid addresses. Each line has a list of twenty
addresses. The list can be as broad or as restrictive as
required.

To limit access to calls from a specific X.25 address, the network
manager includes the address defined in the list. If a broader set
of addresses is desired, addresses may be defined using a "x" or "X" as
a wildcard. For example, if the address is defined as "1234x678X"
then the calling address "123406781" would be allowed access. Note that
the length of the incoming call must match the length of the
defined address.

The network manager can also use one or more asterisks at the end of
a valid address to indicate where in the calling address specific
digits are not required. For example, if the address is defined as
"123456***" the calling address "12345655" would be allowed access.
In this case, the length of the incoming call is not required to match the
length of the defined address.

If access control is not desired, the list of addresses should be
left empty.
