Title: Conflict Between Zenith PCs and BAPI
Date: 1/3/90

Some Zenith PCs, often those that have been Tempest certified, use INT 14
for the hard drive. The Bridge Applications Programming Interface (BAPI)
also uses INT 14. BAPI is found in PCS/XNS, PCS/1 and 3+Open/TCP products.

When both the Zenith PC and the BAPI product try to use INT 14, a conflict
occurs. The following symptoms appear in the order shown:

1. 3+Share or 3+Open will load and operate properly from the hard drive.

2. 3+Share or 3+Open and the BAPI product will load and operate properly
from a floppy drive.

3. The BAPI product will not load from the hard drive. The Zenith hangs
and must be rebooted or turned off.

To resolve the conflict, change the interrupt used by the hard drive.
